The next 40 days of Lent offer an opportunity to encounter Christ, strengthen your faith, and incorporate new habits into your spiritual life. Along with giving up something this Lent, we invite you to also take something on by getting involved in the following opportunities at Christ the King.
Fridays During Lent
7pm in the church
(in english and spanish)
The Stations of the cross are a series of meditations on the events leading up to Jesus' death on the Cross. Don't miss this opportunity to enter more deeply into the spirit of Lent and reflect on the merciful love of our Savior.
This year, for our 75th Anniversary, Christ the King has created a bilingual special edition of the Stations of the Cross available to purchase for $1 after Masses!
Lent is the perfect opportunity to renew your relationship with God through the Sacraments. Consider attending daily Mass or Eucharistic Adoration during the week. If you haven’t been to Confession in a while, we invite you to participate in this beautiful sacrament of healing where Christ awaits you with open arms. In addition to our regular Friday confessions from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., we will also have confessions on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Learn more about Confession, Adoration, and Mass Times
We will be participating in the consecration to St. Joseph beginning on February 15 and concluding on March 19, the Feast of St. Joseph. You can purchase the St. Joseph consecration book online: Consecration to St. Joseph (shopmercy.org) We also have copies in English and Spanish in our parish office for $20.

Starting on Ash Wednesday, February 17, the diocese will launch 40 Days of Adoration. Every day for 40 days, a different parish throughout the Diocese will host Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for Adoration throughout the day.
Parishioners and families of host parishes, neighboring parishes, and Catholic school
communities are encouraged to volunteer for shifts to pray before the Blessed Sacrament on the parish’s designated day. An ancient custom from the church of Rome is to visit a different “stational church” each day of Lent. In the same manner, the people of the church of Columbus are invited to visit and spend time with Jesus in the Eucharist at as many different host parishes on their day of Adoration. The schedule of host parishes is available at columbuscatholic.org/40days.
